David and Victoria Beckham Buy Full-Floor Penthouse in Miami
Power couple David and Victoria Beckham have purchased a full-floor penthouse in One Thousand Museum, a new condominium tower designed by the late Zaha Hadid in downtown Miami, Mansion Global has confirmed.
The acquisition was agreed some months ago and formally closed this week, according to a release from the developers Mansion Global received Wednesday.
“With the launch of Inter Miami CF [Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami], David and his team are spending significant amounts of time in Miami,” a spokesperson for David Beckham said in the release. “One Thousand Museum is a very special building, and we are excited to join the community there.”
The deal was made via Beckham Brand Limited, the partnership and licensing company owned by David Beckham. The company didn’t respond to a request for further comment.
David Beckham, 44, an English former professional footballer, is current president of Inter Miami CF, which played its first match against Los Angeles FC on March 1. His wife, Victoria, 45, who was once part of the pop group Spice Girls, has her fashion brand.
The full-floor penthouse is located on a high floor in the 62-story tower, offering more than 10,335 square feet of living space. It has five bedrooms and six-and-a-half baths.
The penthouse was asking $20 million. The sale price could not be determined, as the transaction has yet to appear on property records.
The development team, led by Louis Birdman, Gregg Covin and Kevin Venger, declined to disclose further information, including which floor the unit is located on.
Amenities in the luxury building, which officially opened in August 2019, include a private rooftop helipad, a sky lounge for dining and private events, an aquatic center with an indoor lap pool, a wellness center and a spa.
“Iconic design, sophisticated lifestyle, privacy and security are among the key factors driving our clients to make One Thousand Museum their Miami base,” the development team said in the release. “We know Mr. Beckham and his team will be very happy here.”
One Thousand Museum, which was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, kicked off in 2013. Hadid died on March 31, 2016.
“One Thousand Museum is one of the world’s most revolutionary architectural masterpieces and is the most identifiable tower in Downtown Miami,” Daniel de la Vega, president of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, which is handling the building’s sales, said in a statement.
The Sun first reported the deal.
