After D. J. Trump won the US election and was declared President once again on November 6, 2024, Nigeria singer Davido took to his official X to commend to Kamala Harris, Donald Trump opposition on the election.
He said, “Congratulations 47th POTUS @realDonaldTrump but you !! @KamalaHarris SHOULD BE PROUD!! YOU DID THAT ! A SOLID WOMAN.”
Donald Trump, the presidential candidate in the US election secured a victory against the Vice President Kamala Harris, the candidate. she got over 67,957,895 Millions votes while Donald Trump had 72,641,564 votes, securing his win.
Just a day before, Davido’s post was met with outrage by some of his fans and other X, while some users who called him out for voting in the US election and not the Nigerian presidential election, which took place in 2023.

Kamala Harris called to congratulate him and concede him and within time, the current president, Joe Biden, also congratulated Trump and invites the president-elect to the White House, formally kicking off the transition ahead of Inauguration Day.
